Tried Runewars the miniatures game yesterday. The game have very interesting mechanics, it uses dials like in X-wing to command your troops. First 3 turns took some time to do but after we got an understanding of what the symbols mean without checking the reference cards the game was alot faster.

FFG has really went the extra mile with this one. The booklets included consist of a quickstart, a rulebook and a book about the world. Too make the game clearer they have also made referencecards to speed up the game.

The only complaint I have is that the black trays is hard to remove during a game. 

At the release there is only two factions, humans and undeak.mkd. Woodelves will be released during the summer and a barbarian demon faction in the end of the year.

I’m really excited about this game but will wait for the fourth faction before jumping on.
